Structure Fire
Chief Ken Eurto, May 16
Department was toned out at 7:30am for a structure fire at 145 Birch road. Heavy smoke and flames consumed the back deck as it was working its way up the back of the house. Fast response from the Fire Department knocked the flames down. Department’s responded from Pierrepont , Colton , Potsdam and Car 10. Hannawa was back in service at 9:15am.... (Full Story & Photos)

Wildland fire
Chief Ken Eurto, May 15
Hannawa was toned out for a wildland fire on Church road. Fast knock down done by members kept fire from spreading as the wind was picking up. A big tree limb broke off a maple tree and landed on power lines which started the fire. National grid was called to the scene Pierrepont fire and Colton rescue and Car 10 were on scene along with Potsdam fire was on standby.... (Full Story & Photos)

Meow
Chief Ken Eurto, April 19
Hannawa responded to Riggs drive for a cat in the wall. Owner stated she could hear the cat in the bathroom area. Members used flash lights and thermal imaging camera. Looked in the crawl space under the house and between floor in the bathroom. Members heard no noises of the cat when searching. Fire drill
Chief Ken Eurto, April 17
Drill night members practice drafting and filling tankers. Each member took turns drafting with Engine 69 and backing up to the portable pond with Engine 120. Then they would fill Engine 120 back up with water and repeat.... (Full Story & Photos)
