Received news this morning that a pillar of the fire department has passed away. Richard leaves a big hole in the fire department. He joined in 1975 and the fire department always came first when he was called . From fixing problem at the station or being pump operator. He was chief of the department for many years and asst. chief as well. He was also the St. Lawrence County Dive master and been awarded county fireman of the year along with many department awards. Will be no calling hours till spring or summer when we will celebrate his life. Please keep Richard in your memory and prayers for his wife Janet through this tough time.
